How often should a lakeside deck be restained?
Transparent and semi-transparent stains typically need a maintenance coat every two to three years in southwest Michigan, sooner on a deck that stays damp or gets full sun. Solid stains last longer. We will tell you what to expect for your deck and the stain you choose.
Can you paint aluminum or vinyl siding?
Yes. A lot of homes here have original aluminum siding that has chalked and faded. It repaints very well after a proper wash and a bonding primer, and costs far less than replacing it. Vinyl siding can also be painted, with one rule: stay with a color that is the same shade or lighter than the original so the panels do not overheat and warp.
Do you also paint in Cassopolis, Union, and Ontwa Township?
Yes. Cass County and the lake communities along US-12 are inside our regular service area.
